JCHAT --- Japanese CHILDES project

The JCHAT project was organized in May 1993 to develop tools for
linking Japanese language acquisition study into the CHILDES
international database for language acquisition research.
The major goals of the project are to develop a Japanese version of
the CHILDES computerized transcription system, to extend the current
CLAN language analysis programs to deal effectively with Japanese
language and Japanese script, and to provide Japanese language
researchers with various tutorial services to integrate highly
reliable Japanese data into the CHILDES international database.
